Stationing Updates

Dear Friends,

As you know Stationing has been particularly difficult this year. In January we wrote to tell you that we still had two minister’s positions to fill and that there was just a remote chance that either would be filled.

We were however delighted to advise you that we had been matched with a probationer and the Rev Alexis Mahoney will join the Circuit from the 1st September 2018. Alex is married and we look forward to welcoming him, his wife and children in due course. Alexis will have responsibility for both Cathays and Rumney Methodist Churches.

We are now delighted to announce that, after a visit to the Circuit on Saturday 21st April and a meeting with the Invitations Committee, the Rev Kofi Amissah has accepted our invitation to become the Presbyter with pastoral charge for Cyncoed and St. Andrews with effect from 1st September 2018. Kofi only became available for stationing in April as he had been asked to return to his home church in Ghana to take up a specific appointment. However, this fell through allowing him to offer to remain in the UK for a further five years. Kofi is an experienced Minister whose gifts and graces will add to those of the other Ministers in the Circuit.

We give thanks for God’s provision and continue to work towards filling the final appointment in the West Cluster.
